• 2004 Kingston Unlimited Regatta
  • Kingston Unlimited regatta brings together most of the top Skiff sailors of eastern Canada. The three day event registered over 15 29ers and 7 49ers. One of the biggest turnouts of its brief 5 yr history.

The regatta was dominated in the 29er class by veterans Waldie / Bougie-Bastien. Followed by top female team The Bougie-Bastien Sisters Genevieve and Veronique.

The top team winning 7 of 11 races felt that it was their time in the boat that gave them a big edge over the competition. "We've been sailing since early April. It feel like our summer should be over but in reality it is just beginning." said a confident Waldie.

"Our goal is to dominate the 29er fleet here in Canada so we feel that the more we are on the water the further ahead we are going to get" added Crew L.P.

"We are happy with our results being top female and second overall." said G Bougie Bastien. We have been training with the guys all season and we are looking to go to the UK for their National before we battle it out for the NAs championship in late August during CORK".

This year marked the strongest showing from Ontario with reps from Sarnia, Stony Lake and the always powerful RCYC.
